Prototype protection – training
verfügbar
Relevance
Prototypes are products, components and parts classified as requiring protection which have not yet been presented to the public by the manufacturer. Special protection of these innovations and their designs is therefore required in the development process. To establish a uniform level of information security, the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) has developed the Information Security Catalog, which contains minimum requirements for prototype protection. These are presented in this training course.
Aim of the training
The aim of this training course is to understand the meaning and purpose of prototype protection. This includes the requirements of the VDA for the protection of prototypes as well as appropriate measures for implementation.
Contents of the training
The training introduces the topic with a definition and description of prototypes. This is followed by a presentation of the components of prototype protection in accordance with the VDA. This includes physical safety, organizational requirements, the handling of products, as well as special requirements for events and test vehicles.
